So you really want to know something about me? Well I'm not flashy, but I am a little crazy. I like diversity, variety, a little adventure, travel, the outdoors, most people, playing sports, cars, design, music, art, and most things German. I love God, my wife, my kids, my family, friends and church.

I grew up in rural Sonoma County, the eldest of five children and attended both protestant and catholic churches. My college years were spent at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, where I received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. There I also received something of ultimate importance: a renewed life through Jesus Christ that would change my direction forever.

God had now given me a passion for truth, love and helping people to know Jesus. A trip to Mexico and a 3-month bicycling trip through Europe opened my eyes to the world and it's needs. Soon I would end up living there, but not before I would go on to work a few years as an engineer in San Francisco and in southern California. The later was especially good, because it was there that I met my wonderful wife! Together we would follow God as He led us to work with refugees in Austria and Germany for about 3 years. After studying at Fuller and North Park Seminaries, we would be back in Europe, this time starting a church in eastern Germany. Six years later we returned to Windsor with a wealth of experience and three fantastic kids.

One of my favorite verses in the Bible is found in Micah 6:8, "He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."

Since August 2003 I have been on staff at Shiloh endeavoring to help us to know, grow in, and show the love and truth of Jesus Christ to our community. You'll find me involved in pretty much everything that goes on in and through Shiloh: mission, ministry to youth and children, prayer, outreach, counseling and occasional speaking.

If you really want to know me better, however, you'll have to meet me in the parking lot. Yes that's where you'll find me, my wife and my embarrassed kids in our 1979 VW Vanagon, ready to embark on yet another adventure together in our rusting block of metal and plastic, espousing much of who I am.
