We moved to Windsor from Paradise in 1995 for employment reasons. Adolfo got a permanent job in San Rafael and I had just graduated from Butte College with a degree in Engineering Drafting Technology. I had my plan to quickly get a job as a drafter. God had a different plan. For the first year in Windsor I worked as a caregiver at Chancellor Place. The Lord used this job to instill patience in me and to do a little pruning as well. I know God accepts me for who I am, but He loves me too much to leave me this way.
After a year of what I considered "being in the valley" I got a job for a tool company in Petaluma where I worked for six years. When I look back at my time at Chancellor Place I now thank God for his love and faithfulness. He not only used this time for refining me but he blessed me with my best friend Debbie of ten years now. I still go through "valley" times, but I now look at them differently. I keep reminding myself how faithful God is and that He will bring me through victoriously.
Since I left my job as a drafter I have enjoyed serving people as a real estate agent. It is much more rewarding for me to spend time with people and to help them with their real estate needs.
I have been a Christian since I was a teenager and have actively served in the church for the past twenty years. I have served in various areas of ministry including: nursery, hospitality, administration, prayer and music. I feel honored by God to now be given the significant responsibility of serving as a church leader. I look forward to what the Lord has in store for me and for Shiloh church. My prayer is that the Holy Spirit will guide me with discernment and wisdom as I serve Him and the congregation at Shiloh.
