I was born on December 9, 1961 with a special treat--I had a twin brother hanging onto my ankle.   I get the birthright being seven minutes older. God had his hand on me from the beginning as my parents adopted my brother and me. During these years multiple births were often separated but God gave us parents who were willing to take on a tandem. I was blessed with Christian parents but I definitely tested their faith (and nerves) over the years.

I have been blessed with a wonderful family — fives sons, Jonny, Andrew, Michael, Stephen, and Danny.
Denise is my wife and one of the wisest people I have ever known. If you want her opinion on something ask her but be prepared for the truth and the truth in a direct but loving message.

I became a Christian in the summer of 1980 at Hume Lake Christian Camps.  Being brought up in a Christian home people always assumed I was a Christian. Like the saying goes, being in a McDonald's doesn't make me a Big Mac. I worked for Hume Lake for several years before becoming a police officer. I started in Southern California before moving to Santa Rosa in 1996.  I am currently a lieutenant working as a patrol watch commander.

A huge part of my Christian walk has been my prayer life. I experienced prayer in a significant way when my best friend was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago. I prayed with him for three years and experience the power of prayer like never before.  My prayers were answered when God healed my best friend by calling him home to be with him.  See, no more cancer, no more pain, only a new body and a life with Christ-HEALED.  My best friend was also known as my dad.   How blessed I am that my dad was still my greatest super hero and lived as a living example of what Christ was.  I held him as he slipped the bonds of this life and stepped into a new life. So much joy filled my heart it came out my eyes!!!

As chair of the Church Leadership Council I see my role of supporting the mission of Shiloh to be critically important:  "We are an incarnational church.   In the community for the community.   As Jesus came, WE GO!"   Exodus 17:8-16 is one of my favorite passages.  We need to build chairs and raise arms.
